Quick and cute, with the cutes hand writting font.. I just use to make my blog pictures fun. Of course you gotta love polaroids otherwise there is no use.. <3

It works fine, but needs serious improvements. In 5 minutes operation I could notice: 1. Please give us an option to change the language… Or correct this (european) Portuguese ASAP!!! 2. Font used in the effect panel is giving me headaches - really! Even using the recommended screen resolution for retina displays I can’t see some words!!! Please use a decent typeface or let the user choose it. Vintage is OK, but don’t exaggerate. 3. Why not using camera buttons to operate the main functions? Right button to access a context menu or the main menu itself? Seriously?! 4. Whenever I change something at preference panel it freezes. Sometimes the menu just disappear. I have to close and reopen the app… btw, I am using latest Yosemite update. 5. To make effects and writing panels close you have to have some patience… Make it simpler: why not just clicking outside the panel to close it?

As soon as I came across this app, I knew I could use it often. I love all the fonts used for caption. Only trouble is at full price it would need a lot more effects/filters to justify the price. Hopefully more effects will be added in future. A default auto save location in the Pictures folder and a collage creator like the sample image shown on this page would be a huge improvement!

Ive played with so many instant camera photoshop plugins, rolled my own settings in Aperture, done the Poladroid thing, but nothing is as fun as Instant. Great effects, great results. Very happy with it. Should be on everyones radar. Hope it gets more play in the App Store.

The best polaroid maker ever!!! LOVING IT. totally worth the $~

Waste of money!! Given that the app is sold under the Polaroid brand, I thought it would be comparable to their mobile version (Polamatic). The problems are as follows, and for me they are MAJOR flaws: 1) The work screen and tool panels are TOO SMALL and cannot be enlarged. Photo without the border is 3.5 INCHES, and the pop-up tool bars are even smaller. It defeats the purpose of working on a large desktop monitor. 2) There is ONLY ONE fim option. Polaroid’s Polamatic has TEN, including Spectra, Type 80, and many other great selections, each with its own unique set of filters. As a multimedia artist, this app doesn’t allow the creative flexibility that I was expecting, and with the tiny work area, I won’t be using it… not until Polaroid updates it with some much-needed improvements.

hi, why cant u scroll left-right up-down, the picture in the macs instant application like in the iphones one ? my pics get cut automatically by instant in the mac, is boring ! you should put the same option like in the iphones application !! thanks

I just downloaded Instant (4.99) this morning and in no time I was able to upload a photo to Facebook. Very easy to use and Im very please with its overall quality and performance.

This is such an effortless but amazing app! I love the effects and everything about it, including the ability to write a caption and all the cool fonts. SO worth every cent. The ONLY thing I wish would change is the cropping thing…Id like to have the option to not crop the image. Thanks for such a great app!!!!

I love this app… the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would like to see them add different sized Polaroids to play with. Great job, just a suggestion for future updates! Thanks

This app is really cool because it will take any picture you want and put that really cool "old camera" border on it. It also has really awesome effects that go on the picture. I bought all of these effect softwares and those are really cool because they have all different kinds of things but this app has the older more sofisicated look to it. I would recomend this app to anyone! Its quick and easy to use, while making the pictures look pro! :)

I wish you guys can add to it that you can leave the polaroid open as "stickies" on the screen. Just made one that I like and wish it was always there, instead of having to click to open it.

I like this app SO much. It is simple, intuitive and fun. I cannot think of a thing that need changing or appended. Easy purchase decision if you want vintage look to your photos. Best polaroid simulator I have found. Even beyond those created in photoshop. Brilliant. They fixed my only complaint!

This app is spectacular. I own a Fujifilm Instax 25 myself and love the quality of the pictures. The effects look geniune and real. Its a fun little app. Definetly worth it!

Does exactly what you think…you import your photo into the Instant app and it automatically mattes out a square photo for you (you choose and scale where). It also includes tools to make your photos look more retro/cross-processed/Polaroidish as well as one-click sharing to Flickr. Works as advertised!!

Down to my last few dollars, I spotted this and just had to get it. I made the purchase…barely was approved by my last few pennies on my card and I have LOVED this endlessly!!!

I just love this app! I am a professional photographer and have to spend most of my time deep in the trenches of Photoshop, but sometimes I just want to have fun with photos, and this app hits the spot. No, you dont get Photoshop level customization, no, its not optimized to run batches, no, its not the fastest program, but thats not the point. Its not trying to be those things. Its trying to be a simple app that lets you play with cool effects and reminds us how enjoyable photography can and should be. And for that, I give it 2 thumbs up!
